Position: Training Specialist 2

Location: 100% Remote (Local to CA only)

Duration: 12 Months contract with high possibility of extension.

Job description

  • Become an Instructional Media Design, Senior Specialist at client and build a better tomorrow. In this position you will be instrumental in creating and maintaining a unified visual identity across all educational materials.
  • Human Resources, Enterprise Learning & Development is looking for an experienced and meticulous Instructional Media Design Senior Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and enforcing a style guide that aligns with the client brand to ensure consistency. Additionally, this individual will educate instructional designers on graphic design essentials to enhance the visual quality of our learning materials.
  • This role demands a strong understanding of graphic design principles, particularly in the context of creating effective learning experiences that meet educational objectives. The Instructional Media Design, Senior Specialist will also manage design work for high-priority projects.

    • Graphic Design for High-Priority Projects: Design visually engaging and educationally effective materials for key-priority projects, including digital courses, presentations, infographics, and print materials, ensuring visual consistency and brand alignment.
    • Collaborate with Instructional Designers: Work closely with instructional designers to understand educational objectives and translate them into visually compelling designs that enhance the learning experience.
    • Ensure Accessibility and Inclusivity: Design materials that are accessible and inclusive, following standard methodologies for diverse learners, including considerations for color blindness, readability, and more.
    • Project management: Manage multiple graphic design projects including scoping and planning of graphic design solutions as well as collaboration with project leads, internal clients, subject matter experts, and the third-party vendor development partner(s) on the overall development of learning curricula
    • May work as part of a larger project team and work with multiple stakeholders.
    • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Required Skills/Attributes

  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within a Learning and Development or educational context.
  • 5+ years of experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • 5+ years of experience with eLearning platforms and tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
