Audio/Visual Technician Job Description

 Video editing. This includes securing images, video, and audio tracks with the
corresponding licensing, to maximize the impact of completed projects.
 Lighting. Ensures that talent and backdrop is well-lit in a stylistic manner that maximizes
appeal of projects.
 Audio. Selects the correct level for audio recording and edits recorded audio as needed
to provide maximum quality.
 Recording. Records the subject and makes certain that all cameras, SD cards, mics, and
lighting are turned on and in working order before filming.
 Posting. Utilize software to ensure that content is posted consistently across several
social media platforms.
 Set design. Creates attractive backgrounds that complement the vision of the ministry.
Periodically changes the background set in collaboration with other team members.
 Use of AI. Stays on the cutting edge of new AI technology to create dynamic content
that will enhance projects.
 Creation of thumbnails. Creates engaging, captivating thumbnails that maximize the
reach of video projects.
 Data analysis. Stays abreast of YouTube analytics to make informed decisions about
editing decisions, thumbnail creation, and provide periodic suggestions on content
strategy.
 File management. Has a well-organized, efficient system for storing files, ensuring that
data can be accessed readily and is properly backed up.
 Equipment maintenance. Ensures that all computers and equipment are in good
working order. Performs troubleshooting as necessary, or promptly notifies companies
or repair facilities when items need to be fixed or replaced.
 Creative feedback. Identify ways to improve and enhance footage. Offer content and
storytelling suggestions. Provide ideas for new equipment or set design.
 Professional development. Remains informed about the latest best practices in the field
by watching trusted YouTube tutorials or other training classes. Makes effective
decisions on how to implement this knowledge to maximize the reach and effectiveness
of projects.
 Collaboration. Works closely with talent and director – consistently dialoging with team
members about content strategy and other related matters.
