Laundry Attendant

As the Laundry Attendant, you'll play a key role in bringing our vision to life by partnering with the housekeeping team and maintaining our linens and towels. Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, and dry our linens.
• Take pride in your work by monitoring and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the facilities.
• Keep laundry facilities, equipment, and storage areas organized.
• Remove any torn or stained linen for discard.
• Maintain complete knowledge of proper maintenance and use of equipment.
• Follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards.
• Promptly report any damages or maintenance problems.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience is helpful, though not required.
• Must understand proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and the requirements for use of housekeeping equipment.
• Have an eye for detail and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Should be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor and outdoor working environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and the use of chemical cleaning agents, household cleaning products, and equipment is frequent.
