Job Title: 3rd Shift General ProductionJob Description

A manufacturing company specializing in packaging supplies seeks a General Helper to perform manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials for the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
• Load and unload ship cargo, using winches and other hoisting devices.
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
• Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.

Essential Skills

• Production experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Machine operation skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Comfortability with the manufacturing production work environment.

• Analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Team player and detail-oriented.

Work Environment

Work in a large production facility where safety is a priority. The environment is very loud due to machinery, requiring the use of safety ear plugs, glasses, vests, and masks, all provided by the company. The role demands comfort with repetitive physical activities such as bending, lifting, and twisting to move materials throughout the facility. The work schedule is Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 pm to 6 am, totaling 40-60 hours a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.77 - $20.77/hr.
