Tax Preparer

Location: Ballston Lake, NY
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time/Seasonal

About Us

We are a fast-growing firm dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season (with potential for ongoing work).

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely individual and/or business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.).
• Review financial records, receipts, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance.
• Advise clients on potential tax liabilities and deductions.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in all client interactions.
• Stay current with changes in federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and resolving issues.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Tax Preparer experience preferred.
• PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) required.
• Knowledge of tax preparation software ProSeries preferred.
• Strong understanding of IRS and state tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• [Optional: Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation is a plus but not required.]
