Overview TPG is seeking a motivated, dependable and safe CDL A Test Driver to support a worldwide automotive company. Successful candidates will test drive commercial vehicles and evaluate pre-production test vehicles on a proving ground, conduct safety inspections, perform specialized test procedures and document findings on driver reports in a clear and concise manner. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions. Follow detailed instructions for vehicle and component preparation, including full visual inspections of tires, glass, body panels and interior; check all vehicle fluids, air pressure, and function of components. Collect data through various data acquisition systems and communicate in accordance with customer protocol. Other duties as requested. Education & Certifications High School diploma or GED Forklift certified (preferred) Safety Able to drive safely in various conditions; follow policies and take ownership for working safely to avoid risks to self and others. Minimum of 10 years of driving experience with excellent driving record (professional driving experience preferred). Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free. Alcohol consumption not permitted 8 hours prior to start of shift. Able to safely drive in heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions. May support training of others on performance and safe driving skills. Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings, etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested. Physical Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Able to sit for prolonged periods routinely exceeding two hours. Suspension component wear testing may require exposing vehicles to periodic harsh road conditions. Interpersonal Able to work cooperatively in diverse and challenging environment.
