Position Description: The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the hospice agency's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with nonprofit and Medicare regulations. The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, managing grants and donations, and supporting the agency's mission by maintaining strong financial controls.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' relevant experience required particularly in the area of General Ledger and Accounts Receivables.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
- Prior, relevant experience with non-profit accounting principles and procedures preferred.
- Prior, relevant experience in healthcare preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Google Suite, preferred.
- Working knowledge of electronic accounting systems required; prior experience with UKG preferred.
