We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This position involves providing comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cardiovascular surgery and be proficient in performing invasive procedures.
Responsibilities include managing a daily patient volume of 8-10 patients and providing inpatient care exclusively. The Physician Assistant will be required to perform invasive lines, manage chest tubes, and first assist in cardiovascular surgeries. The role involves working a mix of varied shifts, with rotating 24-hour call and night call duties, including weekends and evenings as needed. Effective utilization of the Epic EMR system to maintain accurate and detailed patient records is essential.

NCCPA Certification
Active and unrestricted New York medical license
ACLS certification
Experienced preferred (no new grads)
