Position Summary We’re looking for a contract Project Manager to support our global CPG and packaging clients. The Project Manager interacts with various teams, departments, and clients to ensure the project maintains its critical path. This role gathers project requirements, establishes project plans, confirms cost structures, and oversees the overall execution of the project. It will support our team for 6+ months, starting mid-May. The role is remote, working closely with onsite staff in Chicago. Compensation The rate for this role is approximately $30-35 per hour, subject to variation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Job Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and understand project requirements. Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and resources. Communicate project status and requirements across teams and departments. Identify potential problems and suggest solutions considering cost, time, and quality standards. Analyze and monitor project costs and deviations. Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, marketing, and purchasing teams on project feasibility and approval. Manage daily project progress, including risk assessment and issue resolution. Conduct project reviews and serve as the main contact for internal teams, clients, and suppliers. Participate in planning meetings and serve as subject matter expert on workflow and capacity. Assist with implementing workflow management and reporting tools. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop team members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field. 4+ years of project management experience or equivalent. Willingness to travel as needed. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, budgeting, and planning skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally. Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines.
