Benefits Category: Partial benefits Position Summary: The position will direct candidates in the process of the eight steps and how to stay safe during the CPAT evaluation. The position includes equipment handling and operations. Set up and tear down of CPAT stations, and ability to teach the skills for the candidate to successfully complete the CPAT course. Must have the ability to run, climb stairs, maneuver CPAT test equipment, perform CPAT test skills demonstrating the skills for candidates. Must communicate with other staff members and candidates via written and verbal mediums. This can occur during routine and non-routine duties such as equipment set-up, prop construction and removal, CPAT installation and testing. Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies. Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or knowledge in firefighting practices. 2-3 years experience training/mentoring in fitness. personal fitness or conditioning coaching.
