CDL Driver – Volumetric Concrete Truck Operator (Opportunity to Become Owner-Operator)

Interested in being your own boss? In addition to hiring full-time CDL drivers, we are actively open to drivers who want to own or lease a volumetric concrete mixer truck and operate as an independent contractor loading directly from our fully automated yard in Palmetto. If you’ve ever thought about running your own concrete delivery business, with a guaranteed place to load daily, this is your chance. We are also hiring full-time W2 CDL Class B drivers to operate company-owned volumetric concrete mixer trucks in the Manatee County region. Compensation: Starting at $25.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience
Plus: Overtime pay, driver performance bonuses, and referral bonuses

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely drive and operate a volumetric concrete mixer truck for job sites across the region

• Conduct daily DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Calibrate, batch, and mix concrete materials on-site per specifications

• Load cement, stone, and sand into the truck using loader or bulk systems

• Keep truck and work area clean and well-maintained

• Follow all traffic and safety regulations

• Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, customers, and site contacts, English (Required) & Spanish (preferred but not required)

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class B license and current medical card (required)

• Clean driving record (MVR check required)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions

• Comfortable climbing, kneeling, and operating truck equipment

• Experience with concrete delivery or operating construction equipment (Preferred but not required)

• Must pass drug screening, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday (some Saturdays and Sundays as needed)

• Home every night – local deliveries only

• Consistent year-round work

Experience Required:

• 3+ years of CDL driving (Required)

• 1+ years of concrete or construction-related work (Preferred but not required)

• Volumetric truck experience is a plus but not require
