Job Description

Alpine Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will support our Veterinarians during daily surgical procedures by assisting with patient preparation and recovery, maintaining detailed surgical records, and providing clear, compassionate client communication. You will anticipate the needs of your team and work closely to implement the veterinarian's orders while maintaining a smooth workflow to keep surgeries on schedule, while upholding the highest standards of patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong experience in surgery and anesthesia assistance who are looking to fully utilize and expand their skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday through Sunday, including rotating weekends. The hospital is open for emergencies Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and shifts during that time receive a $2/hour differential. Weekend shifts are paid at a flat rate of $50, in addition to the employee's regular hourly rate. Full-time benefits and compensation**: • Compensation: $16-21 per hour, for each hour worked* - $2 differential (6-9pm M-F) and weekend flat rate

Minimum qualifications and skill set: • 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting • Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Basic restraint
  • Exam notes/scribe
  • Client communication/education
