Job Description Hard Rock Tulsa Hotel and Casino is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all individuals and property within CNE facilities. This includes patrolling premises, monitoring for suspicious activity, responding to incidents, and providing assistance to guests and employees. The Guard must maintain a vigilant presence, adhere to all safety protocols, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for all.
NOTE: This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded for applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if they possess a valid medical marijuana license.
Responsibilities - Protect the safety and security of guests and employees.
- Prevent the entry of prohibited items onto CNE properties.
- Patrol CNE facilities, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots.
- Greet guests, provide directions, and offer assistance as needed.
- Respond to accidents and incidents, including providing first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Detect and report suspicious activity and behavior.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with law enforcement and emergency services.
- Prepare detailed written reports of incidents and investigations.
- Interview witnesses and obtain necessary signatures.
- Ensure compliance with CNE age requirements and policies.
- Maintain knowledge of excluded persons.
- Escort employees to secure areas as needed.
- Assist with entry into gaming machines.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED.
- State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) unarmed security guard license required within 180 days of hire/transfer.
- CPR certification required.
- Working knowledge of defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and chain of evidence.
- Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
