Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Shift: 8:30a-5p
Description:

The position is our first line phone technician and is a triage position. They help to troubleshoot issues and transfer the call to the correct place and will also set up deliveries or answer straightforward questions. We are looking for someone with experience talking to patients on the phone so either retail techs or techs from insurance companies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required.
• This person must be able to perform dosage calculations; have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel; perform basic office environment tasks; have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties; and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.
• Additionally, this person is expected to satisfactorily pass required hospital and government validation examinations.
• Some college and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred, with a basic working knowledge of drugs and dosages.
