Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool position with a night shift schedule and NY RN license required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Resource Pool of a hospital environment, floating as needed
• Patient population includes general medical, surgical, and telemetry as well as ED hold patients
• 12-hour night shifts with scheduling adjusted according to unit and patient care needs
• Requires working a minimum of every other weekend
• Travelers must work at least two out of the three key holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day/Eve
• Epic EMR is used and recent experience with Epic (within 2 years) is required
• No block scheduling is allowed
• Responsible for caring for medical-surgical telemetry patients and ED hold patients as needed
• Must be willing to float within the hospital as part of the resource pool
• Vehicles used during the assignment should be equipped with all season or snow tires November through April due to weather
• Comprehensive employment history information required for consideration
• No block time or schedule modulation offered for any reason

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NY RN license or proof of pending NY license at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
• Recent experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years required
• Must have reliable personal or rental vehicle as public transportation is not accessible
