Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Massachusetts requiring a MA RN license, Tele experience, and willingness to float.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Med/Surg unit with 20 to 34 beds
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6
• Patients require medical-surgical and telemetry care
• Personal scrubs of any color allowed
• Travelers must be willing to float to any Med/Surg unit
• Block scheduling is not offered
• Night, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR is strongly preferred
• Travelers may be assigned to float between different Med/Surg units as needed
• Must be willing to work one major winter holiday and associated weekend coverage
• Personal time off requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days and must be submitted prior to consideration
• Personal scrubs can be worn in any color
• Holiday coverage is required for either Christmas or New Year's and the corresponding weekend
• First-time travelers may be considered if all requirements are met

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required in hand
• Tele experience is required
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience is strongly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
