Transit Services Supervisor LARC Operations

Job Summary Provides immediate supervision to LARC drivers. Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established transit and organizational guidelines, procedures and policies. Requires full knowledge of LARC transit operations, and external rules and regulations.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $61,200 - $130,600 (Annual Rate).
Department Description The Laboratory Animal Resource Center is a recharge department providing veterinary care and housing services for all animals used in biomedical research and teaching. LARC provides veterinary medical care and husbandry services, assures compliance with laws and regulations concerning the use of animals in research, and veterinary medical advice to UCSF researchers.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area and / or 3 years equivalent experience / training.
Valid and Current California Driver's License - *no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses.
Experience driving a cargo van or medium grade straight truck.
Experience maneuvering bulk equipment with electronic or manual pallet jacks or dollies.
Experience operating lift gates and restraint equipment such as ratchet straps.
Animal Husbandry Experience.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and basic documentation.
Preferred Qualifications AALAS Certification.
Valid and Current California Class B Driver's License.
License/Certification Valid and Current California Driver's License - *no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses.
