We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as the Coordinator of numerous employee developmental programs: Mentoring, New Employee Orientation, Leadership Development. This position is instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing initiatives that promote and manage this programs to facilitate learning opportunities and enhance the larger organization. In addition, this position will be involved in coordinating STEM activities within the SDDOT as we interact with high schools and other outreach programs. As part of your role in employee development, you'll collaborate closely with subject matter experts and our dedicated employee development team. Together, you'll ensure that every member of our DOT team experiences a warm welcome, gains a comprehensive understanding of their job functions, and is guided along a clear learning pathway throughout their career journey.
Designs, develops, and presents training courses to ensure participant’s learning needs are met.
This position has an option to be remote.

Duties And Responsibilities - Developmental and Training (60%);
- Leadership Development Program Management;
- Lead and enhance the numerous leadership programs SDDOT is engaged in to enhance a pool of candidates for career advancement opportunities.
Mentoring Program Management - Lead and enhance our current mentoring program to facilitate knowledge transfer, professional and personnel development;
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to participants to ensure the success of mentoring relationships.
New Employee Orientation - Lead and enhance our comprehensive DOT specific orientation programs for new hires to familiarize them with our policies, procedures, culture, and values;
- Collect feedback from new employees to identify areas for enhancement and refinement in the orientation process;
- Training Program (10%) - Coordinate numerous employee training activities within the Training Program to expand upon ongoing efforts to provide cutting edge to our employees to enhance their knowledge and skills. STEM Program Coordination (30%);
- Provide support to school districts to implement the STEM curriculum;
- Build relationships and foster interest, engagement and proficiency in engineering programs with stakeholders including the Department of Education, Department of Labor, school systems, and other STEM stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to organize workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities that promote STEM learning;
- Monitor program effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Knowledge Of Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- familiarity with onboarding processes, including orientation program design, content development, and delivery methods;

Position Requirements Preferred college degree in education, human resources, organizational development, or engineering.
Compensation The total compensation of Hourly Wage + State/Federal Benefits for a typical year for entry level Employee Development Coordinator is approximately $69,602.00 annually.
