Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and possess strong communication skills, allowing them to effectively engage with customers and promote our products.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers on features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing product displays and ensuring shelves are stocked appropriately.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or complaints.
• Assist in inventory management, including stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks.
• Foster a positive shopping environment through effective communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our community.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Experience with merchandising techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when needed.

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
