If, after reviewing the position description, you believe you are a good fit and meet the required qualifications, we invite you to apply: The Technical Editor reviews and edits documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Checking documents for spelling, grammar, and content issues (e.g., missing instructions, unnecessary sections) Ensuring content accuracy, possibly in collaboration with programmers Maintaining and applying the organization's style guide Recommending revisions to the style guide as needed Developing content ideas considering the audience Reviewing proofs prior to publication Collaborating with senior consultants and reporting to a Project Manager Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents Energetic, forward-thinking, creative, with high ethical standards and professional image Well-organized, self-directed, and a team player Excellent communication skills, able to relate to people at all organizational levels Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field Compensation: The estimated salary range is $18-35/hr. This is a general guideline; actual compensation depends on skills, experience, certifications, and organizational needs. SRE complies with all applicable labor laws. This range is part of the total compensation package. Work Environment: The primary location is the Washington D.C. Metro area. Remote work is permitted but not guaranteed. Travel expenses are not reimbursed if living outside the area.
