Type: Temp to hire
Tax Preparers - full time/year-round (not seasonal)
Start: October/November for the 2026 tax season
Location: Wilmington, MA 01887
Experience/Skills: - Individual and corporate tax experience preferred but individual tax return experience a must.
- Must be a enrolled agent
- 3-5 years’ experience would be preferred but would consider 2-3 with the right fit
- Tax Software Experience
Payrate: $23-30/hr

Schedule: Before tax season starts: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
When tax season starts: Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 8:30am-4:30pm. Tuesday and Thursday will be 8:30am- 7:30pm or 8pm.
Prepares and files income tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with tax laws. Work with financial records, interview clients, and provide advice on tax planning to maximize returns and minimize liabilities.
Duties and responsibilities - Client interviews and information gathering: Meet with clients to collect and organize financial documents, such as W-2s, 1099s, income statements, and documentation of expenses.
- Tax return preparation: Prepare and complete accurate federal, state, and local tax returns using specialized software. This involves computing taxes owed or overpaid, identifying eligible deductions and credits, and completing all required forms.
- Tax law research and application: Consult tax codes, handbooks, and bulletins to determine correct procedures for complex or atypical returns.
- Client communication: Explain tax preparation procedures and answer client questions about tax laws and their returns.
- E-filing and processing: Handle the electronic filing process for tax returns and ensure timely submission to the IRS and state agencies.
- Quality assurance: Double-check calculations and review all tax forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Tax planning advice: Offer advice on future tax planning and tax strategies.
- Customer service: Build and maintain client relationships and resolve client complaints or refer issues to a supervisor.
- Administrative tasks: Perform administrative duties like scheduling appointments and managing client billing.

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
