We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant / Tax Preparer to join our team for a fall/winter 2025 start date. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tax preparation and financial accounting, be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication skills. This is a seasonal position with excellent opportunities for full time, growth and advancement for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, & estates/trusts
• Conduct tax research and provide advice to clients on tax matters
• Participate in tax planning meetings/conversations with clients
• Utilize QuickBooks to prepare and adjust financial statements for business clients
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and respond to their inquiries in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, financial accounting, and tax research
• Proficient in QuickBooks and tax software
• Proficient in Outlook & Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Outstanding client communication
• Strong management and leadership skills

Job Type: Seasonal

Salary: $40-$50/hr depending on experience and proficiency

Schedule:

- Monday through Friday

- Extended hours during tax season(s)
