Job Description
We are seeking a Talent Manager to support the growth and development of our employees. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs and initiatives aimed at improving organizational culture, employee development, and engagement.
This role will work closely with site HR Managers and Business Leaders to deliver a hybrid of acquisition solutions for our evolving and growing organization. In partnership with site HR Managers, conduct full life cycle recruitment to creatively source the best talent for MGP Ingredients, Inc. The Talent Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, site HR Managers, and employees at all levels, to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for our evolving and growing organization.
What will you do? Learning & Development
- Introduce innovative methods to enhance employee skills and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Conduct needs assessments and asses talent development, set measurable objectives, and provide data-driven recommendations for learning topics, curriculums, and solutions.
- Lead the design, development, onsite or virtual delivery, and evaluation of training and development interventions/initiatives that contribute to developing a talent-focused culture.
- Create and implement trainings on mission-critical positions such as Sales.
- Collaborate on the development of our long-term leadership and learning & development strategy (including but not limited to a career development philosophy, learning pathways, and a mentoring/networking framework).
- Manage multiple projects and executive stakeholders at one time and be ready to shift priorities based on business needs and organizational initiatives.
- Support talent capabilities through the delivery of mentorship, experiential learning, OJT, job rotation and job shadow opportunities.
Talent Acquisition
- Serve as a liaison and partner with HR Managers and hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in a positive candidate experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing team in building MGP's talent brand and ability to attract a diverse pipeline of candidates to join our team.
- Manage full life cycle recruitment and selection process (post, source, prescreen, schedule, assessments, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.) for exempt and nonexempt positions.
- Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community, including trade schools, to influence and impact the recruiting process.
- Develop new and maintain current contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants.
- Proactively identify and develop innovative sourcing techniques to build pipelines of qualified candidates, sourcing from a variety of channels, including but not limited to networking, social media, internet, employee referrals, campus recruiting, industry events, etc. Influence and educate hiring managers and interviewers, delivering on a consistent and methodical recruiting process.
- Stay current on the market landscape of emerging technology that is disrupting the talent acquisition lifecycle and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement
Engagement
- Collaborate with site HR Managers to execute a vision and resources for a successful onboarding experience.
- Organize and execute employee engagement events, activities, and rewards and recognition programs to create a highly engaged, inclusive culture in which team members feel recognized and valued.
- Host and facilitate professional learning spaces aligned to areas of equity and inclusion, including Employee Resource Groups (ERG's), and/or leadership cohorts and other initiatives.
- Partner with site HR Manager to facilitate meaningful Exit Interviews, using a confidential data-collection mechanism to communicate trends to key stakeholders.
What do you need to bring to the table? Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- 3 years of management experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, or similar role
- SPHR / PHR preferred, not required
Experience
- 3 years of management experience in Human Resources, Training and Development, or similar role.
- The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in learning and development methodologies, learning management systems, training development and delivery.
- Recent experience recruiting in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring for nonexempt, exempt and leadership positions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.
- Knowledge of best practices in talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement.
