The Systems Administrator
JOB SUMMARY :
Accountable for, annual server maintenance such as mail servers and file servers, and much more.
Based upon an organization's requirements and other IT-related infrastructure, such as VOIP phone systems.
Requirements include an in-depth understanding of computer software, hardware, and networks.
Responsible for assisting with the design, organization, and support of the organization's computer systems.
It is the Jr System Administrator who maintains operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs.
An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hours a week job, on site or in the outlying facilities, with regular attendance.

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and virtualization
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
Sustaining systems integrity, server deployment, and security.
Ensuring high-level security and efficiency resulting in 100% output.
Document all process and procedures in the IT procedures manual.
Assist with project teams for upgrades, refreshes, and system roll outs.
Oversee configuration of all HRMC shared folders within policy guidelines
Oversee configuration of all HRMC network printers on the print server within policy guidelines.
Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.
Manages all virtual machines (VMs) as needed or delegates to qualified staff or MSP.
Establish and adhere to server name conformity.
Overseeing of all Active Directory additions, updates and removals as stated in HRMC policy guidelines.
Maintaining and deleting all mail accounts associated with AD accounts as stated in HRMC policy guidelines.
Performs random audits of user accounts for accuracy of security settings as well as status of account.
Creation, move, or change of Exchange information databases.
Report on QA/QI indicators quarterly.
Data Governance.
Ensuring that all applications within the organization are kept up to date and available in coordination with the development team.
Customer Support and Tier 3 support for helpdesk issues.
Responsible for deciding on ticketing software and overseeing training of staff.
COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $55,983 /yr based on relevant experience and education.
QUALIFICATIONS - Systems Administrator Education:
Associates degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field. Advanced knowledge of information technology operations required.
Ideally applicant will hold a certifications of the following:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
Oracle Linux System Administrator (Oracle)
CompTIA Server
VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization
Experience / Knowledge : Minimum of three years' experience with Windows operating systems administration including remote monitoring and support, replication, desktop integrations, data recovery and system backups, LDPA, DHCP, Active Directory, creating and updating batch files, setting up and maintaining file and print servers. Experience with VMWare infrastructure and maintaining Virtual Machines is a plus.
Physical: Normal IT operations environment.
Normal/corrected eyesight.
Hearing within normal range.
Uses computer, calculator, copier and general office equipment.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. busy environment with multiple distractions.
