Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer to join a talented team within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. You will be a part of a diverse team of test engineers, system engineers, software developers and analysts supporting our customer’s software product test capabilities and internal testing in a missile defense modeling and simulation environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supports software product integration, testing, and analysis activities using Kanban to manage and prioritize workflow.
• Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets functional tests for new and/or modified software features.
• Investigates and supports troubleshooting of test setup and execution problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
• Works independently with little oversight as part of a broader multi-disciplined engineering team.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution.

Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated performance in the design, development, and testing of real-time software applications and simulations.

Must be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies.

Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programming languages Python and/or C++ using UNIX/Linux OS.

• Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-quality environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to
  detail
• Expertise using Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and
  SharePoint and familiarity with Gitlab.
