Job Overview
Position SummaryThe Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC) plays a vital role in delivering outpatient counseling services as part of an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). This position is dedicated to assisting individuals on their journey to recovery from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) through organized counseling sessions and teamwork with a diverse care team.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate patient intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Track and document patient progress during counseling and group sessions.
Conduct psychosocial evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
Offer individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Ensure a minimum of 20 hours of direct patient counseling each week.
Identify and address both clinical and case management requirements.
Provide education to patients regarding recovery processes and treatment expectations.
Administer urine drug screenings and verify patient identification.
Protect patient confidentiality and safeguard organizational data.
Essential Requirements
Possession of an active CADC credential .
Registered with the NCSAPPB .
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
