Now Hiring ! Welder (Structural Steel)

Location: Pataskala, OH

Salary: $20-24/hr

Job Summary:

Responsible for welding structural steel members to build steel structures. Welds, cuts steel, operates grinders, drills various material and other fabrication devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and fabricate steel girders, columns, and other steel members to form buildings and other steel structures.
• Cut, position, and weld by AISC quality standards.
• Fabricate, Weld, Torch cut, Drill and Grid structural building components.
• Drill holes into steel members for bolting purposes.
• Number and mark steel according to fabrication schedule instructions and AISC quality standards. (STAMPING)
• Ability to read a tape measure is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• No specific certificates or licenses are required for entering into this position; however, experience in the welding profession is required; specific training is substituted for experience.
• Must be able to pass 1G, Flat position, multi-pass weld test.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience operating with overhead cranes.
• Experience operating forklifts
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Specific Skills:

• Responsible for area housekeeping.
• Ability to effectively MIG weld with 1/16 solid wire with Argon/CO 2
• Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organizations goals.
