Staff Accountant & Accounting Supervisor (Direct Hire)
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Occasional overtime required)
Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 per year plus bonus and an outstanding benefits package.

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant/Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Bakersfield. Key responsibilities
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Provide comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, report on variances, and assist with budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations.
Develop, document, and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and maintain financial integrity.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance to management.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including some supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Timberline, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
