Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year at an elementary school serving first-grade students in a Functional Academics class focused on Moderate to Severe Needs (ESN). This contract role is located in Vacaville, CA, within the Vacaville Unified School District.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering tailored instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), or nursing staff provided by the district for student supervision and support
• Developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tracking student progress in alignment with district guidelines
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by the school

Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Moderate to Severe Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, specifically in Functional Academics or similar special education settings
• Ability to work closely with support staff and engage in collaborative educational planning
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Additional details:

• This role requires onsite work and includes training provided by the district
• Fingerprint clearance and signed contract on file are mandatory prior to the start date
• The hiring process features either remote or onsite interviews with decisions made within 48 hours to expedite placement
