Social Media Coordinator

About the Role:

The Skinny Confidential is looking for a creative, community-first social media expert to support the development of own-able, best-in-class social strategy and social marketing campaigns.

This role will drive engagement, innovation, and brand loyalty while ensuring our voice remains authentic and aligned with our mission.

This role will include the daily management of channel operations (content planning, calendar management, caption copywriting, analytical reporting) along with executing the social strategy for all brand launches, in collaboration with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative eye and be at the forefront of social trends and innovation as well as the ability to develop channel-by-channel goals and effectively measure success. You will play a key role in driving engagement, gathering feedback, and creating strategies to grow and strengthen our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and post 5+ Instagram feed posts and 7+ story slides weekly
• Create and edit 4–5 TikToks per week
• Develop content strategies for launches, events, and promotions
• Manage our Instagram Broadcast Channel and build real-time engagement
• Collaborate with our influencer and email/sms teams to ensure alignment
• Lead content shoots, prepare shotlists, and ensure all visual needs are met
• Analyze performance and optimize based on insights
• Create 1–3 engaging daily posts for X (formerly Twitter)
• Stay on top of trends, holidays, and cultural moments
• Write engaging copy for all social assets, including captions for Instagram and TikTok, as well as in-feed graphics and Instagram stories.
• Collaborate with newsletter/sms team to make sure there’s brand alignment across assets

Qualifications:

• A keen understanding of The Skinny Confidential aesthetic and the ability to adapt and innovate within the brand’s voice.
• 1+ years of social media experience, preferably in the beauty industry
• Strong copywriting skills and an adaptable writing style
• Meticulous and a stickler for grammar and consistency in voice
• Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each
• Experience building social media assets like gifs, images, and polls
• Experience creating content for TikTok and staying on top of trends
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends if necessary
• Experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining design quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas and collaborate with diverse teams.
