About the Firm
Our client, a well-established wealth management firm with an ample in-house tax practice from a large CPA firm they acquire, is seeking a Senior Tax Reviewer with a minimum of 20 years of experience to become a key member of their professional team. This role is ideal for seasoned tax professionals who thrive in a production-focused environment and are looking to apply their expertise in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and efficient reviews of complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Focus on high-volume tax work with minimal client interaction — designed for professionals who enjoy "hanging out and banging out" tax returns and reviews all day.
Review returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with current tax regulations.
Manage incoming extensions and provide timely, accurate filings.
Utilize QuickBooks to analyze client financials where necessary.
Collaborate with internal teams and partners on complex tax matters and occasional special projects.
20+ years of experience in tax preparation and tax return review.
EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred but not required.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Strong familiarity with QuickBooks.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-heavy environment with limited client-facing responsibilities.
