The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller. This position will be responsible for assisting in the accounting and finance functions as detailed below

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Generate customer billings

· Oversee and provide backup to office personnel for customer billings, collections, cash receipts, Accounts Payable, and weekly check runs

· Maintain & reconcile general ledger accounts

· Manage & reconcile company’s fixed asset database and depreciation schedules

· Reconcile trial balance to generate interim and annual financial statements

· Prepare weekly/monthly/annual reports as appropriate

· Develop and maintain work center rates and weight-based costing rates

· Analyze cost of goods sold for accuracy and insight

· Partner with product line managers to establish best practices and ensure accurate inventory costing

· Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and monitor inventory valuation reports

· Work with operations to revise the reserve for obsolete inventory and calculate scrap costs

· Assist with various projects and data analysis in which management assigns

· Able and willing to cross-train and cover other areas of the start-up business.

Education and/or Experience

· Four-year accounting or finance degree

· Minimum 2-year experience in accounting or finance preferred

· Understanding of accounting policies and principles

· Familiarity with data analysis tasks

· In-depth experience with Microsoft products and spreadsheet applications.

Restoration Medical Polymers is a growing raw material supplier to the orthopedic industry based in northeast Indiana. RMP consolidates Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) via Ram Extrusion, Compression Molding, and Direct Compression Molding using custom equipment. RMP also performs custom blending of additives into UHMWPE resin, and a full range of laboratory testing for R&D and material quality control.
