Senior Scrum Master Job Number: 25-03632 Want to be part of the Energy Industry? ECLARO is looking for a Senior Scrum Master for our client in New York, NY. ECLARO's client operates one of the world's largest energy delivery systems, constantly at the forefront of innovations in developing technology. If you're up to the challenge, then take a chance at this rewarding opportunity! Position Overview: Support 3 Agile teams. The Scrum Master will be responsible for 3 Scrum Teams and Ceremonies. In this particular role, the Scrum Master will be extremely involved in the process and outcome of the product and team, and take an active role in moving development forward. The expectations are that the Scrum Master interacts with the Product team (PO and Client) by running and enabling Agile ceremonies and tracking development progress, and must understand the goals of the features and stories being worked on to aid in unblocking issues. The Scrum Master interacts with the Dev team by managing Sprint point allocations (not assigning them that is done by the Dev Mgr. or by Devs. themselves volunteering) and keeping the Azure DevOps board up to date and organized. They also track capacity to raise when there is excess or balance resources between teams when we are falling short. Importantly, the Scrum Master is expected to track the stories to completion which means following up with Developers everyday outside of ceremonies to check progress, assess risk, and clear roadblocks by seeing if the Devs. have questions or issues and need to talk to the Product team. If there are issues hindering development, the Scrum Master will alert the product team and set up / facilitate meetings until roadblocks are cleared. It also means that tracking stories through production deployment, ensuring with Client that they are tagged to Sprints and approved on time to go to Production. The Scrum Master reports on Sprint Burndown, velocity, adherence to story point estimates, and tracks the health and progress of the team and escalates issues to the Product Owners. The Scrum Master could be asked to create new reports in addition to those already set up, for example items like number of bugs per Sprint or Feature. In General: The Scrum Master supports the team on their understanding of Agile and delivery of a product. It is the Scrum Master's role to teach the team Agile Practices, facilitate Scrum Ceremonies, remove impediments and shield them from external distractions. Scrum Master brings the Product Owner and the broader team together as well as the Product and Development teams together and helps them understand each other and align goals for delivery. This individual is also a Personal Coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seek continuous improvement and builds high performing teams. Required Technical Skills: Ability to ensure team's adherence to Agile processes and best practices while adapting to particular team needs. Activity Coordination Adaptability Agile Scrum Master Certification Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in Azure DevOps. Team Engagement and Collaboration Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.
