What we would be looking for in the future when an Enterprise Sales Engineer position opens up: Position Overview Druva is looking to hire an Enterprise Sales Engineer. As a Sales Engineer, you will provide technical direction and business guidance to the regional sales team. We seek a self-starter who will exceed sales quotas by driving innovative technical programs, pipeline generation alongside AEs, customer demonstrations, POCs, and day-to-day account activities. You will be responsible for evangelizing, positioning, and architecting Druva’s products to a targeted list of new and existing strategic customer accounts. The ability to scale interactions from technical IT staff to Executive-level stakeholders is essential. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment is key. You will work in a team of individual contributors who are empowered to make decisions and run their day-to-day business. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting and can think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We seek candidates comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Druva’s products, distributed architectures, cloud-native and SaaS offerings, and end-user compute solutions. Provides technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in developing Druva solutions supporting pre-sales activities in the assigned market. Performs remote installations, training, and ensures the success of customer POCs. Acts as a technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet technology and business requirements of assigned customers. Meets business objectives, collaborating with Sales Executives in the region. Desired Skills and Experience 6+ years in technical customer-facing roles with at least 3+ years as a Sales Engineer; enterprise software solutions experience (Backup and SaaS a strong plus). Knowledge of cyber security solutions including Palo Alto, FireEye, CrowdStrike. Expert-level knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS. Experience with Active Directory, SSO tools, SCCM/Casper Deployment tools, virtual environments (VMware, HyperV, AHV), storage technologies (SAN/NAS). Knowledge of cloud technologies using AWS/Azure with SaaS applications like M365, Salesforce, and Dynamics. Driven, energetic, hands-on with a strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset. Entrepreneurial—willing to go the extra mile, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience engaging with C-level personnel and driving technology solutions to address business challenges. Experience with a SaaS company or deep knowledge of SaaS practices. Travel up to 25% when permitted. Requirements Strong knowledge of enterprise server backup technology. Knowledge and practical experience with VMware and Hyper-V administration. Backup and restore of File and MSSQL servers, and VMware. Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud services. Strong knowledge of cyber recovery (NIST and Incident Response) processes. Understanding of project management methodologies and processes. Exposure to storage protocols (SAS, Fibre Channel, SCSI, iSCSI). Understanding of network technologies and protocols – TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, switches, firewalls, routers, and proxies. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position is expected to be between $160,000 and $213,333/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity.
