As a Senior Project Manager , you will:

  • Provide project leadership in managing large complex aviation projects.
  • Lead all phases of the project process with a high level of proficiency and expertise, while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
  • Full responsibility for managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
  • Manage project teams, foster collaboration, demonstrate strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance, creative design ideas, and successful project delivery.
  • Lead effort in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, services during the marketing and contract development process.
  • Assist in contract negotiations.
  • Accountable for complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.
  • Responsible for managing projects using the Deltek Project Management system; complete work plans in Deltek, including identification of project team members, consultants, schedule for completion, fees, and costs.
  • Understanding and experience in project change management, risk management, and ability to act on the assigned project.
  • Work with Sr. Project Architect and design team to maintain schedule and budget in a manner profitable to the firm.
  • Provide on-going communication through team meetings, minutes, and memos to project team.
  • Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
  • Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.

Bring Management Expertise

  • Oversee applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  • Oversee budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Sr. Project Architect.
  • Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility and oversight.

Maintain Positive Relationships with Clients and Consultants

  • Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective communication.
  • Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients.

Requirements

To join us, you should have:

  • A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline.
  • 13+ years of experience including aviation-specific experience.
  • Ability to review and comment on 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, including Revit.
  • LEED GA or AP accreditation within 6 months of hire.
  • PMP designation is a plus.
  • Licensure required.
  • Understanding of terminal programming and planning.
  • Experience in managing contracts for large complex aviation projectsexperience on $200M construction valued projects is a plus.
  • Understanding of airport and airline client relationships.
  • Understanding of FAA rules and regulations.
  • Experience delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
  • Ability to work at the project location and/or frequent travel is required.
