Job Title :: SAP BASIS Administrator Location :: DC metro area, WA (ONLY LOCALS) Duration :: Long Term SAP BASIS Administrator (with SAP HANA Certification) Experienced and certified SAP BASIS Administrator with a minimum of 8 years of expertise in managing complex SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of SAP BASIS administration and proven hands-on experience with SAP HANA. This role involves overseeing installation, upgrades, system performance, and troubleshooting across multiple SAP environments. Key Responsibilities: Plan, install, configure, and maintain SAP environments including SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Fiori, and SAP HANA databases. Perform and manage system upgrades, EHP installations, Support Package updates, and Kernel patching. Conduct HANA system administration, including backup/recovery strategies, replication setup, and performance optimization. Handle transport management system (TMS), client administration, and user/authorization management. Monitor system performance, implement tuning strategies, and maintain high system availability and disaster recovery setups. Work closely with functional, development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure system integrity and performance. Participate in SAP system migrations, cloud implementations (AWS, Azure, GCP), and landscape optimization projects. Maintain system documentation and comply with audit and security requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of SAP BASIS administration experience. SAP Certified Technology Associate in SAP HANA is mandatory. Strong expertise in SAP HANA installation, configuration, and tuning. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori. Proficient in system copy, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of operating systems (Linux/UNIX/Windows) and database concepts. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
