Job Description Title: PSM / Safety Engineer
Location: Lemont, IL
Hire Type: Long-term Contract (Immediate benefits)

Job Duties: - Support resolution of Draft, New and Existing Open PHA Findings and Action Items
- Create work plans
- Discuss interim measures when applicable
- Create additional action items as needed
- Track proposed target date changes
- Submit EWRs when applicable
- Follow up on work plans
- When needed, facilitate meeting/support to remove roadblocks so plans can progress.
- Track plans to completion
- For refuted/Alternate Closed PHA Action Items
- Confirm action items have been closed with sound reasoning
- Confirm evidence/studies have been attached when applicable
- Gas Detection Modeling as needed to support PHA Action Items
- Update PSM procedures
- Confirm content does not contradict corporate standard or code/industry best practice
- Update to new format
- Create PHA/LOPA Guidance Documents
- As issues are identified during PHA/LOPA studies, create guidance documents to help foster consistency.
- Capital/Expense Project Safety Engineering support as needed/assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree
- Prior Process Safety experience required
- Chemical, refinery, or Oil and gas experience desired
