Platinum Structural Restoration, Inc, in Hollywood, FL is looking for a Part Time -Safety Director, OSHA Certified to join our 24 person strong team. Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm ( Some weekends ) Off most Holidays. Competitive wages. Pay is depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working. A safety director is responsible for leading the safety and environmental programs at organizations to reduce accidents and other injuries that are related to work. They design and monitor safety programs using data trends and make necessary changes to the program, such as increasing safety measures when needed.

Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as occupational health and safety or safety engineering 

Experience

• Previous experience as a safety director or in a similar role
• Certifications: A Construction Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA Certified

Knowledge

• Working knowledge of safety regulations, such as OSHA and DOT, and experience with health and safety management systems 
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as good problem-solving and decision-making skills 
• Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office and safety databases 

Safety directors are responsible for preventing workplace injuries and illnesses by implementing safety legislation, classifying risks, and ensuring that everyone follows the correct procedures. They also conduct audits, such as checking the stability of scaffolding, ensuring that workers wear protective footwear, and making sure employees use construction equipment safely.
