Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East.
Full-time (36-hours per week)

18-months of RN experience is required
BSN required
As a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator , you will function in a charge nurse / staffing capacity role at times, but also have alternate tasks ranging from audits, staff schedules, patient experience, and committee work. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into additional leadership roles or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.
Department/Position Overview:
The 3East - Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General enjoys a supportive team environment and nurse patient ratio including a unit based nurse educator, team coordinator and manager. The unit has an active Partnership council and is currently involved with the hospital Magnet redesignation journey. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Nurse Residency Program. The patient population on this unit may include: sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis.
