Position Summary: They are seeking a talented and driven Private Equity Associate to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in investment banking and a proven track record in the industrials and business services industries. As a Private Equity Associate, you will be instrumental in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial analysis, market research, and industry assessments to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct detailed due diligence on target companies, including financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment.
  • Deal Execution: Assist in the execution of investment transactions, including preparing investment memos, coordinating with legal and financial advisors, and negotiating terms.
  • Portfolio Management: Support the management and monitoring of portfolio companies, including performance tracking, strategic planning, and value creation initiatives.
  • Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and the competitive landscape to inform investment decisions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with industry experts, advisors, and portfolio company management teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on the industrials and business services industries.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in the industrials and business services sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
