Job Description
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems manufactures and sells a broad range of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies to the aerospace, defense, intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance markets. We presently have a need for a Principal Electrical Engineer at our San Diego (Otay Mesa) location .
Responsibilities:
Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power.
Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years experience
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Electrical Engineering or other Engineering degree required

Salary Range: $102,410-190,190/year
