Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of SECC’s philosophy and policies, parent and employee handbooks, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and other state and federal guidelines for early childhood.
Actively supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain a clean and safe environment including the classrooms, playground and common spaces.
Communicate effectively in a constructive manner with all students, staff, and families.
Participate in regularly scheduled weekly team meetings, monthly staff meetings, quarterly in-service days, and occasional center functions and activities.
Prioritize the health and safety of our students with an understanding of their allergies, food intolerances, medical needs, and individual student plans.
Be able to comprehend and utilize the BrightWheel platform and complete required classroom paperwork in a timely manner.
Be willing to perform other duties as needed.
Position Details
Status: Non-exempt, part-time or full-time options.
Work Schedule: 5-day (M-F) work week with availability during all site operation hours (7am-6pm).
Reporting: Reports to an SECC Leadership Team Member and Director
Pay and Benefits: Pay is $21-$27 per hour, commensurate with experience. Medical and other benefits available for full-time employees. All employees are eligible for childcare discounts within SECC.
