Power BI Reporting Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Reporting Specialist to design, deliver, and support high-impact analytics solutions used across the business. This role focuses on transforming curated data into clear, actionable insights through well-governed dashboards and KPIs. You’ll work closely with IT leadership, engineering partners, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, intuitive, and scalable.

This position plays a key role in maintaining reporting standards, managing access and security, and enabling adoption of analytics across teams.

What You’ll Do

Analytics & Reporting

• Build, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards using approved enterprise datasets

• Convert business needs into clear visual stories with effective navigation, drill-throughs, and contextual insights

• Develop and manage DAX measures that support standardized KPI definitions

• Apply advanced Power BI features such as bookmarks, tooltips, and visual interactions to improve usability

• Publish and distribute reports through Power BI Apps tailored to specific audiences

Data Governance & Platform Management

• Administer Power BI workspaces, user access, app audiences, and Row-Level Security in line with governance policies

• Monitor dataset refreshes, data lineage, and dependencies to ensure reliability and performance

• Maintain clear documentation for reports, metrics, filters, and changes over time

• Support controlled promotion of content from development to production environments

Collaboration & Enablement

• Partner with teams across planning, sales, marketing, and supply chain to define reporting requirements and success metrics

• Perform limited Power Query transformations when necessary, adhering to established data standards

• Validate data outputs with business owners and support end-user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing support

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline

• 4–6+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Power BI reports in Power BI Service

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of DAX and solid understanding of data modeling principles

• Working experience with Power Query (M)

• Strong SQL skills for analysis, troubleshooting, and data validation

• Proficiency with Excel, including PivotTables and data transformation tools

• Experience managing security, permissions, and scheduled refreshes within Power BI

Additional Strengths

• Strong eye for visual design and user experience

• Comfortable presenting insights and explaining metrics to non-technical audiences

• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric capabilities (Dataflows Gen2, Datamarts) and Premium Per User environments

• Experience supporting reporting for ERP or CRM systems (SAP Business One a plus)

• Background in KPI documentation and analytics enablement initiatives

Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site role based at a corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida
