Responsibilities:

Policy Research and Analysis

  • Conduct research and analysis of legislative initiatives, regulatory actions, and government programs related to transportation, tolling, and mobility.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of federal and state policy developments on the industry.
  • Develop briefing materials, policy summaries, memos, and fact sheets for internal and external audiences.
  • Assist in crafting advocacy messages and communications for policymakers and industry stakeholders.

Member and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate outreach to member organizations to gather industry insights and case studies through surveys, interviews, and continuous engagement.
  • Track input and actions from members to support policy development.
  • Monitor and engage with peer associations and advocacy groups to identify collaboration opportunities.
  • Stay informed on relevant research and academic studies to enhance information sharing and policy influence.

Committee and Event Support

  • Attend and report on industry meetings, congressional hearings, and webinars.
  • Help organize and support member meetings with government officials and agencies.
  • Assist in the operations of various committees and task forces by preparing materials, scheduling meetings, and maintaining engagement.

Writing and Communication

  • Draft content for reports, presentations, newsletters, and talking points.
  • Create and manage policy-related content for digital platforms and assist with media outreach efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Transportation, Urban Planning, Political Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in policy research, government relations, or nonprofit/public sector roles.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and work independently or in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with transportation operations or public policy is a plus.
