A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN O'FALLON POLICE OFFICER As one of our Police Officers, you do an excellent job of keeping our residents safe and have a reputation of being helpful and willing to serve our community. Whether it is patrolling the streets to detect and deter crime, investigating crimes and accidents, responding to calls for service, interviewing citizens, providing resources to schools, transporting prisoners, or conducting business checks, you love playing an active part in our dynamic community. You take your responsibility to the citizens of O'Fallon seriously and secure crime scenes and collect evidence with care. Your integrity is impeccable and you provide honest and credible testimony in municipal, state, and federal court as needed.
Though most of your law enforcement work engages your love for interacting with people, you also spend some time applying your attention to detail to preparing reports for investigations and accidents. You are organized and carefully keep track of evidence, paperwork, warrants, and equipment. You show great respect for others and their property. You maintain your assigned vehicles and equipment with care. Your self-motivation is evident as you are always looking for ways to improve your knowledge and skills, attending training sessions regularly and keeping your state certification up-to-date. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A POLICE OFFICER - Current Missouri POST certification
- Ability to pass an extensive background check
- Valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri or ability to attain
- No experience necessary!
