Dyer is a town in St. John Township, Lake County, Indiana. Locatedroughly 30 miles from downtown Chicago on the Illinois and Indianaborder. Dyer is home to many delicious restaurants that also offerweekly entertainment. Some travel to Dyer to see the historic Meyer'sCastle, built in the 20th Century, which sits on 10 acres of the town'shighest ground. Many people know Dyer from traveling on Lincoln Highwaywhich takes you through the town. The historic highway, "IdealStretch" was the first paved road in Indiana. It was part of CarlFisher's vision for the Coast to Coast Rock Highway.
