Phlebotomist

Salary Ra t e: $13 .00/hr. – $18 .00/hr.

Location : Salisbury, NC

Shift : Monday – Friday 9 :00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. , Weekends and Holidays coverage rotated.

Employment Type: Temporary to Hire

We are looking for a phlebotomist to join a clinical team with a Pediatric clinic. You will perform the routine duties of specimen collection, processes body fluids from patients for testing and document results on to patient records. What you will be doing :

• Collects blood samples and processes body fluids from patients.
• Demonstrates competency in performing routine venipuncture, finger stick, arterial blood collections and obtaining blood directly from patient catheters.
• Collects and maintains patient samples for analysis in the laboratory.
• Processes, prepares and aliquots specimens for testing. Notes information on collection records. Remains knowledgeable of all policies, procedures and protocols.
• Performs all testing in compliance with safety guidelines, policies and procedures.

What is Require d :

• Completion of a Phlebotomist program and obtained Phlebotomy certification.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Phlebotomist experience in a laboratory or clinic.

• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., will be required to work overtime hours for weekend or holiday coverage. Coverage is rotated throughout the staff.
