Our client is a boutique intellectual property law firm in Atlanta seeking a Patent Agent with a background in organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or related fields (small molecules, formulations, etc.) . This role offers the chance to work directly with inventors and attorneys on cutting-edge technologies.
Patent Agent Job Responsibilities :
Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in chemistry/pharma subject matter
Conduct prior art searches and patentability analyses
Assist with portfolio strategy and patent opinions
Collaborate with clients, inventors, and examiners throughout the process
Qualifications:
PhD in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or related field required
USPTO registration required
At least 2 years of patent agent experience in law firm or corporate setting
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
