Meter Reader Hobbs, New Mexico 88240 System One is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meter Reader to join our team for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate utility readings and maintaining high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities: Conduct accurate and timely manual readings of gas and electric meters. Record meter index data into computerized handheld systems with precision. Identify and report hazardous conditions, meter tampering, and any irregularities in meter conditions. Complete assignments efficiently and within designated timeframes to ensure data integrity. Assist in maintaining customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, actively participating in safety meetings and training sessions. Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and report findings. Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
