Position Overview 

We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our experienced service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with marine engines and systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality repairs and maintenance services to our customers. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard marine engines
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, winterization, and summerization 
• Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems 
• Conduct engine installations, removals, and replacements 
• Inspect and service propulsion systems, drives, and propellers 
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation 
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations and service updates 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards 
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe 
• Stay current with manufacturer updates and technical bulletins 

Required Qualifications 

• 2-5 years of hands-on marine mechanic experience 
• Strong knowledge of marine engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser preferred) 
• Experience with marine electrical systems and diagnostics 
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams 
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and marine-specific equipment 
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions 
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Marine technician certification from manufacturer or vocational school 
• Experience with stern drives, jet drives, and propulsion systems 
• Knowledge of marine electronics and navigation equipment 
• Previous marina or marine dealership experience
